Your Power 💪
Massive release this month, so I’ll get right into it: Configurability has always been at the heart of Authentise’s philosophy. I don’t think you can go completely no-code without losing some context (which is all important in high mix, low volume), but being able to configure what users do and see on the platform is the number one way in which to support flexible operations.
Â
That’s why we’re excited to announce Configurable Custom Fields. Previously, users would have to request new fields to be added at Order or Line-Item level, which would be done quickly but still require additional spend for Time & Materials. Now, they can do it themselves.

We’re already planning to extend that concept to materials next. Watch this space. In the meantime, another extension was finished this month: The Review Board. This is an innovation to the Non-conformance options that exist in Authentise. There are already 2 options to highlight an issue on the shop floor:
Change the workflow
Send the part to rework
Â
This third option allows you to send the part to a pre-defined Rework Board at the press of a button. You can configure workflows to capture specific feedback (pictures, text, numbers, etc) at that Board and attach User Groups to it, which restricts who can make the assessment what should happen to the part going forward.Â

A final extension that builds on the Order-based Gantt (now renamed Production Gantt), is to add the ability to break out the order to parts, to see where each part is in the process. At this level, rather than an aggregate completion percentage we can show you what station the part is stuck at, and what’s to come. We’re also now aggregating completion status at the Order level with indicator bulbs on the left.

I realize this is very heavy on product updates, but maybe that’s because the 10+ hires we’ve made over the last few months are starting to show their potential. It’s an amazing thing, working with this team. If you want to meet them, most of the leadership is actually going to be at Rapid on the 17th of May and will be hosting a dinner that night. If you’re interested in attending, please let me know.

I look forward to seeing you there!

All the best
