Overview
This article will take you through the process of adding a Certified Build to the Build Library, and demonstrate how to use this to recreate this build in a future order.
Certified Builds enable you to reproduce the same builds with the same layout, specimens, material type and workflow, ensuring consistency and trust in your production. This functionality is designed to be used once you have established the validity of a particular production build - it will likely take a number of production runs where the geometries and parameters are refined to ensure that the 'final' Certified Build that is added to the Library is of a gold-standard.
Refining Your Certified Build
The steps below highlight the processes that need to be followed to functionally arrive at a build that you want to Certify and add to the Build Library. However, it should be remembered that these processes will be undertaken as a natural consequence of the iterative process that is followed to arrive at a point where you would want to save a specific build plate as 'certified'. For example:
Production Builds 1 to 4 are used to refine the production geometries / parameters.
Build 4 is defined as being 'gold standard' and able to be certified. This build is added to the Build Library.
By accessing this saved build, Production Build 5 and onwards will have the same defined parameters and can be relied upon for future success.
Preparatory Steps
Define your specimen workflow and upload specimen models to the Model Library (if needed)
Define your production workflow and add the appropriate specimens to be included
Create Order
Create Order and add line item models
Select material, workflow and quantities
Make any final refinements and confirm the line items
Define & Complete Production Runs
Select line items and pieces to comprise the Certified Build
Create the print run and nest the build as appropriate
Complete the production runs and evaluate the parameters
Refine the Build
Make any changes to the geometries / parameters as required
Repeat the stages above until a 'gold-standard' build has been generated that you want to add to the Build Library as a Certified Build.
Adding your Certified Build to the Build Library
When you have arrived a Certified Build, you can add this specific build configuration to the Build Library from any production run.
1. From the printing run page, click Add Certified Build to Library

2. Flows will confirm that you want to add this template to the certified builds library. You can define the “Certified Build Name” and click Continue to proceed.

3. To access the Builds Library: Organize > Model Library. Click Builds Library to open your Certified Builds

Reproducing your Certified Builds
Once the build has been added to the library, it is easy to create a new order with the specified configuration.
1. From the Build Library, select the Certified Build that you want to re-manufacture and click Confirm.

2. Flows will recreate the pieces, workflows and materials in a new order, ready to be reviewed and confirmed for production.

Summary
This article has taken you through the process of adding and recreating a Certified Build. Currently we don't support the Certified Builds Library if you are using our Digital Design Warehouse module, but we intend to at some point in the future! Please do let us know if you are interested in both!
