Introducing RREQAM: Rapid Reverse Engineering & Qualification for Additive Manufacturing

The Digital Thread Starts Here

Reverse engineering legacy parts and qualifying new additive manufacturing processes are often treated as two separate challenges. In reality, they’re tightly connected - and when they’re handled in disconnected systems, progress slows, risk increases, and valuable knowledge gets lost.

That’s why Authentise has introduced RREQAM (Rapid Reverse Engineering & Qualification for AM): a new, integrated suite that brings both challenges together into a single, continuous digital thread.

From Legacy Drawings to Structured Understanding

Many organisations still rely on historic technical drawings that exist only as scanned, hand-drawn documents. These files are difficult to search, interpret, and reuse - making reverse engineering slow and error-prone.

RREQAM introduces a new AI-driven reverse engineering capability that transforms these documents into clean, searchable, structured data. Using Threads, ThreadsDoc, and Digital Design Warehouse, text is extracted from non-searchable files, BOMs are automatically rebuilt, and part hierarchies are reconstructed into a navigable structure.

This eliminates manual document mining and helps teams recover decades of embedded engineering knowledge. The first client for this capability has already expressed strong satisfaction with the results.

From Understanding a Part to Validating It

Once a part is understood, qualification is the next hurdle - and traditionally, one of the most fragmented. Manufacturing execution, external testing, and engineering analysis often happen across emails, spreadsheets, and disconnected tools.

RREQAM’s Integrated Manufacturing & Qualification Workflow, built on Flows and Materials Management, brings these activities into one place. Engineers define their DOE, operators execute builds with clarity, and external test houses receive secure access to upload results directly into the workflow.

ThreadsDoc structures uploaded results from PDFs, spreadsheets, and images, generating a complete Technical Data Package (TDP). Parameters, documents, test data, and results are all captured and connected in a single source of truth - reducing delays, rework, and uncertainty.

One Suite. One Digital Thread.

RREQAM isn’t a standalone feature or a bolt-on tool. It’s the Authentise ecosystem operating as one integrated suite - combining existing platform strengths with two new breakthrough capabilities that reduce time, cost, and risk in additive manufacturing development.

From legacy drawings to qualification-ready data, RREQAM helps teams move faster, work with greater confidence, and maintain full traceability across the entire process.

The digital thread starts here.
